He got tired of popping Advil and waiting for the pain to subside.
So Chris Dalman started working out again.
Just no where near the rigorous workouts he had done just two years earlier as the San Francisco 49ers starting center.
And while he still can't lift his arms above his head without some pain, mentally the Palma High assistant football coach feels better.
"Some days are better than others," said Dalman, who is volunteering his services this week at the Herman Edwards Football Camp at Cal State University Monterey Bay. "Other days I can't pick up my kids (who are 4- and 7-years old). It's hard to tell my daughter 'you can't jump on daddy's back today'."...
