An arbitrator has dismissed the Arizona Cardinals' $21 million damage claim against Arizona State University in a dispute over sponsorship sign revenue at Sun Devil Stadium.
The university, however, isn't completely off the hook.
Local arbitrator Thomas G. Ryan also ruled that the National Football League franchise still can seek damages from ASU beginning in 1999, when the college began flooding Sun Devil Stadium with new sponsorship signs to raise additional revenue.
