I just saw -11 and 2 goals. I bet you guys didn't think you would get that kind of production after last years 50 points. So do you see potential star d man or waste of cash?

He's the least of our problems. He has a few boneheaded gaffes here and there along with the occasional bad game, but overall he's a minute-eating top pairing guy who is a steal at a 4million cap hit. His defensive game has actually been better than what I was expecting overall.

i disagree. he puts more pucks on net than any other player from the point.

I haven't been dissapointed in the defense. With the exception of some gaffs, they have been playing ok all year.

Erhoff is coming around also. Not worried about him at all.

I suppose the criticism was that he got all of his points coat tailing off the Sedins. Now that Edler is getting those minutes he is 4th in D scoring. So I guess they were right. However, with a guy that can make a first pass like Erhoff, he should be able to send some of your speedy forwards on the rush.

The Hoff has been solid when healthy. Like I said, no complaints. Roy/Stafford/Leino/Boyes lack of production (and in Leino/Boyes case injuries as well) is the reason the team is struggling. We're a one-line team on offense and our goaltending has been mediocre at best.

He was indeed lost early on and got a fire lit under him from Ruff for playing soft ( like most of the team ). Before the injury, he was playing better.

I think the problem has been our second tier players and the lack of a number one center. Ehroff puts a lot of shots on net creating rebounds however unless other than Vanek and Pominville the rest of the team can't do anything (Tuesday against Edmonton is the exception). Once the second tier players start scoring Ehroff's numbers will get better.
