What a hilarious joke the Pro Bowl is.

Maybe all the time Levitre spent at LT and C cost him a chance at being a probowl guard.. Or he is a buffalo bill and just isn't well known to the league compared to Mankins and Waters...

Rivers and Ferguson at first glance are question marks from the AFC

NOT THE DUDE...

When you really begin to look at it, we are just so void of real nfl superstar talent. our best players, freddy, cj, stevie, fitz, levitre, wood, williams, dareus, wilson....

we have no superstars, we have no game changers...

I'm sure some Bills will eventually get in, when there's a need for an 8th alternate at a given position.

As if it needs to be said - it's too bad about Fred Jackson.

Give Dareus a year or two and you might be changing your tune.

AJ Green and Patrick Peterson both make it. 2 players I wanted over Dareus.

Green's been great but I can't say he'd reproduce his numbers here. As think a lot of his numbers padded due to no other WR in Cincy could be counted as a #1. Peterson's been a great PR and might have done that for us but that said I still say Dareus a better pick for this team. As if you think our D was horrible this year just imagine how much worse it be WITHOUT him.

I haven't been impressed with him. Every game I watched he was seldom double teamed, it seemed he barley ever got off the line and was pushed back a lot. Sure he made a couple of good plays but so has Maybin with the Jets. Can't get much worse so I don't see the argument.

Just posted this in another thread........

Who else could they take instead of Rivers? Schaub is hurt. Matt Moore is slightly rated higher (Brady, Schaub, Ben, Moore, then Rivers 5th), Rivers is 2nd in yards and TD passes, how in the world is he not the choice if they pick 3?

I don't know what you are watching, but Dareus gets in the backfield all the time, making sacks on QBs & tackles for loss on the running backs & for a big man he runs from sideline to sideline pretty fast. He will be a probowl player in this league.

...and two players that never would've made the Pro Bowl as part of this team. Seriously, the entire top 10 of the draft is a bunch of all-stars or at least major contributors IN THEIR ROOKIE YEAR and you're telling me Dareus (who was penciled as high as #1 in a few spots) is the bust? No, it's the team.

Which brings me to my point. I'm glad this team has no Pro Bowlers, because hopefully it gives everybody on the front office and the NFL a huge wake-up call about how little talent this team has. Hopefully it also wakes Erie County up to how much of an injury hazard CheapTurf has become and how it's a direct detriment to the well-being of the players and this team.

Of course, I think this should be a lame-duck season for Buffalo anyway, but all of you know that already.

This is true, but it has nothing to do with the Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl is- and always has been- a joke. People vote for the guys on their favorite team that they think deserve it, then just go down the list and vote for the first guy whose name they recognize for all the other positions. It's largely a popularity contest.

I never said he was a bust, what I said was I wasn't impressed with him.
Hopefully he becomes the player that many on here think he will be.

Jake Long didn't deserve it this year
