Stevie Johnson could be the Bills first

He has a legitimate shot this coming weekend to be the first Bills receiver to have back to back 1,000 yard seasons. He needs 46 more receiving yards. Not bad for a former 7th rounder (224th overall in 2008). Bills need to get him back for 2012 and beyond. JMO

Can't believe Reed never had back to back 1000 yards seasons.

I will be so pissed if the Bills let him go.

This team will not win with Stevie Johnson as the #1 WR. He's too immature, too inconsistent, and isn't clutch. People like to forget those things because he put up good numbers against Darrelle Revis in two LOSSES.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with him because we have a steep drop-off at WR behind him. But, don't expect to win unless we find a true #1, or at least a 1a/1b situation, to compliment him (which won't happen if we pay Stevie because Ralph won't commit that much money to one position).

Ahhh, good ole' mediocrity. It may not be ideal, but at least we're comfortable here.

but he has to tweet that he signed with Cincy first, then back out and sign with San Fran.

Who says he has to be the # 1 Receiver? We get rid of him then who is our #1? David Nelson? Get real man.

Keep Johnson and look to upgrade as well.

              It won't happen.

If they pay Stevie, they won't pay another WR. They'll claim that locking Stevie up and getting Parrish back is enough to fix the position. Same thing with the OL- they locked up Pears, and we'll get Wood and probably Bell back, so they will say the OL is fine.

It's how this team does business, and it's how they will continue to do business as long as Ralph controls the purse strings.

Ok yep let Johnson go. Nelson and Roosevelt will be enough

I think Moulds and Reed had back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Franchise tag, generous contract extension, whatever it takes, just keep him in a Bills uniform.

If Stevie isn't playing for the Bills in 2012, the implication is crystal clear. We have no intention of winning. Nix keeps saying that we'll win by building through the draft. Well, you have to retain what little talent you do have in order to win.

So, OBD is on the clock. Make it happen.

Reed had 4 1000 yard years but never back to back, same with Moulds.

                          I never said that.

What I'm saying is this: This team is not good enough to win, and one of the reasons is because Stevie Johnson is our #1 WR. Unfortunately the FO has put us in a situation where we have no other options. So, expect us to re-sign Stevie. Just don't expect us to win.

Remember, we've had Johnson for the last two years. It's gotten us all of 9 wins in 31 games. You can't do the same thing and expect different results. Well, you can, but you'd be insane.

keeping Stevie may show the intention of winning.

But intending to do something and actually doing it are two different things.
