Because Miami won they pick behind us due to SOS.

That's how it seems to look to me at least.

What RB can we take 9th overall so we can trade Fred Jackson?

Can't get a QB at 9.

If they aren't taking a qb it's gotta be pass rusher/olb.

Trent Richardson.

I think we have an outside shot at Blackmon.

Depending on Hillis, Cleveland may take Richardson though.

I'm pretty sure Miami is gauranteed to pick of ahead of us with their weaker schedule? Not sure what your talking about. Carolina is ahead of us too. Only way we can move is if KC wins

He's not wrong, you are. Dolphins will draft ahead of us with a weaker SOS. Carolina had a weaker sos as well, kc was tied with us. It's most likely 10 or 11.

9th, 10th, 11th who cares...we'll draft some no talent ass clown who won't do anything to help us win some damn games anyways.

Sad but probably true. If we don't draft a complete no name buster, we'll grab a guy that will be serviceable at best and pass on a game changer.

Well, that'd be nice... provided of course Mr. Luck doesn't get high on weed and start having social anxiety issues... I was thinking more into top-5 territory. Not necessarily first!

If that's what it takes, I have no problem with that either.

But if we're trading 2 full drafts, we should be allowed to keep our 7th round picks, for some reason we do good on those and screw up the rest of them.

True, but these monkeys running the show are going to have to eventually stop flucking up the early picks, because as well as they've done with the late ones and UDFA, they haven't found any game changers there...just guys that have been way better than their draft positions.

Where would the Bills be picking if they didn't have that meaningless Denver victory?

That's how it seems to look to me at least. This is incorrect. The Dolphins WILL pick ahead of the Bills because they have a lower SOS. The Panthers jumped ahead of the Dolphins to the #8 pick, but the Dolphins have clinched the #9 overall pick. Doesn't matter what happens in the afternoon games or in the night game, the Dolphins are at #9 and ahead of the Bills. Depending on what happens with the KC game, the Bills will be picking #10 or #11.

I went 9th based on this. It has us already at 10. Miami has a strongerr SOS.

The tie-breaker for draft position, is only based on strength of schedule. Nothing else matters.

Yeah, but the Fins played the Jest, who end up at 8-8, while we played the Patsies, who end up 13-3.
That's a 5 game 'swing' in terms of s.o.s. for the last week.

The Great Blue North Draft Report, which is usually on top of draft order issues, says Buffalo is picking 10th. Miami and Carolina are flipping to determine who goes eighth and ninth. KC and Seattle flip for 11 and 12.

Some entities (ESPN?) use only the strength of schedule of the teams that have already been played to figure out draft order since the NFL doesn't keep a running track of order for us. One reason I like the Great Blue North Draft report is they also use future opponents in figuring strength of schedule. Of course, that is going to change constantly throughout the season, but I think it is a more accurate method.

Miami and Buffalo play the exact same schedule, other than 2 games:

Miami plays Houston and Cleveland, a combined 14 - 18

Buffalo plays Cincinnati and Tennessee, a combined 18 - 14

The weaker SOS picks first if record is the same, so Miami picks ahead of Buffalo.
