Derek Hagan Is Pretty Good - Keep Him

If Fitz had an arm, this guy would have recorded far more yardage the last 3 games.

The CB's trying to cover him were unable to stay with him. He was consistently wide open with several yards of seperation but Fitz couldn't get him the ball.

Still want another WR to go with him but he's a keeper. 6-2 215 and only 27. Obvious speed.

I saw that here at the end of the season in Haggan. With some more reps he could be a keeper.

I really liked what I saw in Hagan as well, but he's a #3 WR at best, IMO.

Fitz not getting him the ball was all part of the game plan. Hagan outruns his defender, then suddenly changes direction to come back to the ball and the defender runs him over. Boom... instant pass interference!

I agree, I think it's worth keeping him. If they can re-sign Johnson and draft a WR, we'd be close to an NFL-worthy wide receiver corps.

He obviously did some good things when he had the chance this season. I agree, if you're picking between Donald Jones and Derek Hagan, you keep Hagan. You might also keep him over Naaman Roosevelt.

With Fitz, we'll need that play a minimum of 7 times a game.

I like what I saw from him too. He'll at least be good competition for camp and could end up being a decent player for us. Maybe he could be next years version of Pears and Urbik.

Agree on his measurables and what he has shown here so far. Wonder why his NFL career has been so spotty.

Hagan looks like a big dude out on the field not sure if it has something to do with the sleeves or what but I thought he looked as big as TO.

I liked Hagan at ASU, put up good numbers. Thought he would be drafted higher, but I guess he played poorly in Senior Bowl practices. At Miami he had trouble with drops, terrible hands. He has bounced around since then, and the knock on him is inconsistent play and concentration errors.

He definitely looks the part, a big strong kid who runs pretty well. Maybe he is a late-bloomer, doesn't hurt bringing him to camp.
