It's almost half time of this game, but I'm wondering if there are any players in this game that anyone around here is high on that they would like to see the Bills draft.

I'm a big fan of the TE Allen from Clemson. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bills use their 3rd round pick on him if he's still available.

I don't know much about the DE Branch for Clemson, but it sounds like he's considered a top prospect right now.

That LB from West Viriginia, Irvin, that draftboy had the Bills taking in the second round of one of his mocks looks pretty good too. Just had a nice forced fumble before the half.

Anyone else worth keeping an eye on?

So much speed at receiver, most of them are not eligible though.

Irvin is small but man he was getting good push on some rushes. Game pace is so fast that he looked spent in that 2nd quarter but still came up with a strip after a chase.

Irvin would be great in the 2nd, but he may be gone sooner. Also, he's so misused, guy is not a 3pt stance guy, needs to rush from a 2pt stance. WV seems to only rush 3 as well. Guy may be a major sleeper. Very intriguing guy, I would say he's a proto 3-4 OLB. But will the Bills play a 3-4? Should take him anyway, need all the pass rushers we can get.

Watkins. Gotta wait a couple of more years.

With his speed and lack of size for a pass rusher, I don't see why Irvin couldn't be a good OLB in 4-3. If we do switch to a 4-3 we could use him at OLB like the Broncos use Von Miller.

Sensabaugh's looked good too.

So what about Branch? I didn't really know anything about him before this game, but would he be a good candidate at #10? Is he considered more of a 4-3 DE?

He's looked alright, not sure about 10 though.

The problem with this game is that both defenses looked gassed by the 10 minute mark of the second qtr, so it's hard to evaluate the defenses. Clemson has issues setting the edge against that sweep play.

Yeah, I can't believe how many points have been scored. Not a lot of defense going on in this game.

The growth Geno Smith has shown from Week 1 to this game is rather impressive. The 2013 QB class is shaping up to be a pretty deep one.

Irvin with the sack, only 3 man rush. Got him thinking speed and quickly changed direction inside.

Edit: Is that backup LT a freshman?

How about the growth just from the S. Fla. game at the end of the season. My goodness he looked like a totally different player.

His composure is the noticeable change. Earlier in the year there were games when he looked lost and confused. Now he's calm, cool, and collected back there.

Should have a huge year in 2012.

I noticed that while it was still a game WV was running/rolling mostly to their right - away from Branch, and that he was beating the LT and getting good penetration and showing very good pursuit. Unlike Coples, he seems to have a good motor. I have seen him variously ranked as the fourth and the seventh best DE in this year's draft and a 2-3 round pick. He's not a #10 overall IMO, but based on what I saw yesterday (which is not a good enuf sample to say much anyway) I definitely liked him. 4-3 DE.

Bruce Irvin is kind of a one trick pony. If he were in the 4-3 you might start him out just as a pass rush specialist, but I think you'd want him to learn how to drop back into coverage eventually, as well as other nuances of the usual 4-3 OLB position.

NOT THE DUDE...

branch is more polished and quicker off the ball than irvin, plus bigger. idk about top 10 but he might be there in the 2nd. kelsay might be cut like stroud was... merriman cant be counted on, batten and moats are moving to olb in the 43 probably... so that leaves us carrington...

we need 3 pass rushers...

Definitely would snap him up in the 2nd.
