    Spiller named Bills "Most Improved"

The Buffalo Bills have named C.J. Spiller as the team’s ‘most improved’ player of 2011, while noting that “the tandem of (Fred) Jackson and Spiller present tantalizing options for 2012.”

    Spiller hopes so.

In a video interview posted on the Bills’ website earlier this week, Spiller talked about his hopes for next season and said that he and Jackson have the potential to make up the best 1-2 backfield punch in the NFL in 2012.
Really hope Gailey can have some formations with both Spiller and Jackson in the backfield at the same time next year.

Kinda hard not to improve on almost nothing, especially when you get a free pass because of injury.

But did he really improve, or was it always there being underutilized by the coaching staff?

Love it, except i'll be LIVID if they use this as an excuse not to sign Freddie.

Freddie is not a FA...Only way he is not in this team next year is if he's traded.

The question is, can Spiller and Jackson coexist as equal starters.

              I say no.......

Dunno, but the arrangement makes sense. Jackson is getting a little long in the tooth for a running back even though he has low miles. Meanwhile, Spiller is on the light side to be a feature back getting 25 carries or more per game. It seems to me it would be to the benefit of both if they were each getting in the vicinity of 15 -20 carries. In the Bills offense, when everyone is healthy, they should be able to have a very good ypc stat (> 5 yards) and get a number of 100 yard games. It's conceivable the Bills could have a pair of thousand yard rushers.

Byrd... from overrated rookie to underrated safety. He should be a candidate for most improved player in the league, not just Bills.
