Pretty weak class, as I really don't see any "locks" in there.

Tough competition...pretty difficult to start crossing guys off of that.

      Assuming 7 make it again...

One will be an old-timer (Stanfel)
      One will be a non-player (Parcells )

That leaves five spots from the remaining 13 guys.

Bettis, Doleman, Greene, Kennedy and Williams should wait.

Brown, Carter, Dawson, Haley, Martin, Reed, Roaf and Shields.

I'd be surprised if more than one receiver makes it, but one definitely will, so it pretty much comes down to Brown vs Carter vs Reed.

I'm guessing Brown, Dawson, Haley, Martin and Roaf.

Year of the WR, as they need to clear the backlog. Could easily see all three going in given the level of the competition.

I just don't see the same thing you guys do, as far as being a weak class.

            Just FYI...

Carter, Roaf and Dawson are the only non-HOF members of the HOF All-Decade team of the 90's (offense). Kennedy and Greene for defense, plus Parcells (head coach).

Williams, Doleman, and Brown were second teamers.

Reed never made the list, even as a second teamer, and if you look over the lists they seem to carry some pretty good weight, especially on offense.

Here's the 70's list, the links for the others are at the bottom.

Reed has finished ahead of Brown and Carter the past two years...

                Indeed.

I think this IS his year.

Carter has 40+ more TDs than Andre Reed, plus eight 1,000 yd seasons in a row. Reed was great, but Carter should get in before Andre.
