Only an organization not interested in winning would sign and overpay a Kelsey type player but let a Johnson type of player go....

Bills are mediocre because it's part of the plan.

Yeah, THAT makes a lot of sense. If mediocrity and saving money was the ultimate goal, they wouldn't be over-paying for anybody.

We pay Kelsay 5 mil per season which is peanuts compared to good DEs. Which means, although we are overpaying for Kelsay, we are still saving money and being mediocre.

They kinda have to overpay for just about anybody that has a choice. Even Kelsey could have gone to a better team, with better players&coaches, with better weather, & of course night life.

If you were a NFL player would you prefer to play for Cleavland or San Franscisco, Buffalo or San Diego, etc... The bad teams kinda have to overpay & the good teams can often get really good players to take pay cuts at chance of winning SB.

Bills are mediocre because it's part of the plan.Calling this team mediocre is giving them way too much credit. Lately it's been worse than mediocre. JMO
