July 1, 2003) — Chris Taylor and Jason Botterill could very well be members of the Rochester Americans again.
While no contracts have been signed, negotiations went well on Monday and Amerks general manager Jody Gage said both deals were “very close” to being done.
Taylor led the Amerks in scoring with 12 goals, 55 assists and 67 points in 61 games. He was voted the team’s MVP for the second straight year. Botterill scored 37 goals, second-most in the American Hockey League. He very likely would have won the AHL’s goal-scoring title had he not been recalled in March by the parent Buffalo Sabres.
