A year ago at this time, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre had every intention of making the 2002 season his last in the National Football League.
He later changed his mind and decided to play for at least another season.
Favre, whose intentions about retirement were discussed often last season, made his most recent comments about the issue in a story published Saturday in the Sun Herald newspaper in Biloxi, Miss.
"I know I can play three more years, but I don't know if that's what I want," Favre told the newspaper at the Brett Favre Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Grand Bear course in Gulfport, Miss. "This time last year, I was dead set on retiring after the season and when it came to an end, I changed my mind. Who knows? I may be dead set on retiring next year at this time. Only I will know when it's time."
