I get sick of watching players that should be producing playing soft. The Toronto announcers mentioned the Sabres are something like 27th or 28th in the league in hits.
I just want guys like Stafford, Boyes, etc off this team. They are soft and cannot produce. I love Gerbe's heart but he is too small and while feisty gets mauled over too much. I wish you could put Gerbe's heart in Adam's body. Adam is soft for as big as he is.

He got Phanuefed, jammed into boards in the second period, the "upper body" injury. You never know with those, he was falling backwards as he was hit while looking forward at Phanuef.

This game was just embarrassing to watch.

There was never any point where it felt like the Sabres could win- like the whole thing was an exercise in futility. And the Leafs, while vastly improved over last year and better than us, are still at best a middle-of-the-pack team as far as the NHL is concerned.

These guys lack scoring, intensity, physicality- basically everything except speed, and Toronto had an advantage in that regard.

It's done. There is just no way we have a miracle comeback like we did last season. Leino was a mistake, Stafford is a joke and Boyes may be done in the NHL after this year.

the bar i was at had the bruins-jets game on at teh same time.... i found myself watching that game more than the sabres... what a piss poor game, there is something terribly wrong with the core of this team, and i think it all starts at the top.. regier.. he's the one responsible for this "core" he's the one that was soo in love with Roy and Ennis, that he felt Spezza wasnt worth it. Burke was right, nobody wants to deal with him anymore because of his exceedingly high praise of mid level talent on the team
