    Ed Reed hurt

If he can't go next week the Pats are already in the SB.

The same Pats team that hasn't beat one team with a winning record?

With or without Reed, the Pats will win by 2 scores.

Ask New Orleans and Green Bay what it's like to play a team with a defense.

And the Saints still rolled up a ton of points and a ton of yards against the 49ers...their defense lost them the game.

If you are so sure, put your money where your mouth is. Seriously...the Patriots are favored by a touchdown right now. The spread is 7 points.

I have no doubt that the Texans would have beaten the Ravens had Matt Schaub been playing. Missing Mario Williams doesn't help either, but Wade Phillips sure did a great job with that Houston defense this year. Both Ravens TDs came off turnovers, right? That Jacoby Jones whiffed punt return was TERRIBLE and could have cost the Texans the game alone...or without that, it would have went into overtime. The Texans STILL covered that spread by a half point.

Anyway, I wager every week, and I think you are probably right about the Patriots winning by 2 scores. They'd have to do that to cover the spread, or to beat the push. I'll have to study on that some before I make up my mind, but it'll be hard to bet against them, as much as I hate them.

The Giants are also 2.5 point underdogs at San Fran. I've bet on the Giants for the past 4 weeks and haven't been disappointed. I'll take them again this week. I think they'll win straight-up.

Of course these spreads could fluctuate a bit, but not much probably.

It's looking a lot like another Giants vs. Patriots Super Bowl again this year, I'd say. That would have to mean that both Harbaugh brothers lose next week. Can you imagine if the Harbaugh brothers went head-to-head in the Super Bowl? The hype might be unbearable.

I don't think either defense even stepped on the field the last half of the fourth quarter, but NO's defense didn't commit 5 turnovers.
