Anyone think he will rebound or are we just on a downhill spiral. Personally I think he is done in buffalo. Maybe he gets traded and and turns it around for another team but I don't see it happening here. All the Miller supporters can not even argue he is terrible this year. Save the 1 or 2 years he has been average his whole career.

This article made me think of Trent Edwards. Edwards was just never the same after his consussion and Miller might be in that category. With the concussion, maybe Enroth and Miller should switch. Enrouth is 1A and Miller is 1B and rest him up for next season.
Sabres Ruff knew Miller wasn't himself

He peaked during the Olympics a few years ago and it's been all downhill since then.

I think the players gave up on Lindy and Miller gave up on the players. There have been far too many times over the past 3 years or so when he's been the only one playing worth a damn and I think he's finally just tired of it. They hang him out to dry and they don't stand up for him.

That's not to make excuses for the guy- every player is responsible for their own performance and Miller's steady decline is his own fault. But I think it's more attitude than skill and I think he could be a serviceable goalie with a different coach and some players in front of him who give a ****.

Given the needs of this team, and how well Enroth is playing, it's not outside the realm of possibility that he gets traded. But I don't think it's likely. Darcy is married to his guys and Miller is at the top of that list.

Plus, this team struggled for so long to find a decent back-up and if Miller or Enroth were to get traded, we have nothing behind them. A back-up goalie would almost have to be part of the deal, which makes it even less likely.

"It's not good hockey. It's not good from top down," Miller said. "I need to be better. I can't seem to find a night where I can get in a groove. I don't know what the hell it is."

this sounds like a guy who has hit a wall. that glove hand just doesn't get up anymore and its inthe right spot when he's down in the butterfly.

His heart isn't in it because it's out on the left coast.

The Sabres were 10-5 before The Hit, and 9-16-5 since.

They're the 2008 Bills

This bugs me about his wife being out in California. Why would you marry the chick knowing that you work in New York and she works in California? Ok, you want to get married and you know the situation before hand. It's not the Sabres fault you married someone 2000 miles away but they are the ones paying for it. It's not like you were married before hand and you were traded to the East Coast. You chose to marry someone 2000 miles away, suck it and stop being a pussy, and play the way you are suppose to play. Of course your head could still be in a fog due to your concussion which for you should be sitting.

Yard-Rat hit it on the head. The Sabres are latching onto the 'injury' excuse the Bills have milked to death. Fine, but Miller's goal-tending clearly started to decline as soon as he started thinking about the girl-friend out on the West coast and less about his day-to-day business.

Miller goes with who ever wants to trade for Reghyr.

Reghyr is NEVER going to be traded so you can get that though out of your head.

We could make the SAME criticism of Tom Brady - I was just checking some timelines.

I didn't realize it, but Brady hasn't won much of anything since he started dating, and then married, Gisele Bundchen. They met in 2006 - Brady's last Super Bowl victory was 2004.

His big Superbowl loss came the first full season - 2007 - after he began dating her. That was also his last Super-Bowl appearance.

Another big sports star with a Left-Coast distraction.

No. He's having a bad year. The defense is atrocious and much of the offense is no putting forth an effort. Ruff should start Ellis at center between Pomminville and Vanek. He's the only center on the team that will work for the puck.

He should put all the LW, RW and C in 3 different hats....draw one from each and that is line 1, then draw line 2, and so forth....What's the worse that can happen? They'll lose 5-0?

Miller is, and always has been, terribly inconsistent. I remember 2005-06, the first time he was here full-time. He was somewhere in the 20s as far as starting goalies were ranked. He has a few stretches of brilliance, but by and large, Miller has always had long stretches of poor performance. The difference is that the "new NHL" covered up his iniquities before, and now that the game is slowing down, he's being exposed.

A friend of mine who lives in the Buffalo area passed along today that Miller has wanted out since the lack of response from the Lucic hit. he's hearing that Miller will wave his no trade clause as long as the team on is the west coast. the info is coming from Patt Leggs of nhlfanschat.com

Take it for what it's worth, just passing along what I'm hearing.

Yeah, that was absolutely disgraceful how the Sabres did nothing to even the score against Lucic during that game.

Probably factored into the NHL decision to not suspend or fine him. You gotta think if the team itself doesn't have a problem with it, why should the NHL? Maybe that was the line of reasoning?

Didn't Seguin run into him later in the same game with nothing? That was were Miller just sat there in the crease for a minute probably thinking "what the hell?"
