    Stevie's giveaway is soft-hearted

A week ago, Stevie Johnson came up with the idea of giving away two Super Bowl tickets on Twitter to provide a fan with a memorable experience. What he didn't anticipate was helping a young man and his family through a period of grieving.

Johnson, the Buffalo Bills' free agent wide receiver, started the contest on Monday but ended the contest a day early after the outpouring of affection for the eventual winner: Mark Armstrong, a three-sport star for Clarence High School whose father, Bob, died unexpectedly last Sunday from a heart attack.

"This shows how much of a heart Stevie has," Mark said. "This shows his compassion and how much he loves Buffalo. Even if he doesn't return next year this just shows what kind of person he is and that will never change my perspective of him. It will only get better and better."

The perfect move to change the perception of him. Bravo!
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

        Very "feel good" story...

Trip to Indy, inflated hotel costs, inflated food costs, etc. That adds up.

How old was Dad? Myself, I'd consider a Pop! - yer gone! heart attack a blessing...

Take note, Donte. When you say you will give tickets away, actually do it.
True fans want wins, not draft picks.

If it's the same Bob Armstrong I know of, he was right around 50.
