Been watching his press conference for a bit... Just mentioned that Thursday Night games would be on from "Week 2 through Week 15. This will result in every team appearing on a Thursday Football game and every team having a Prime Time appearance throughout the season."

Weeks 2-15 would be 14 games... add in the two Thanksgiving games, that's 16.

Great news for those that get NFL Network. Sucks for those that don't.

What network will carry the games? For some reason I thought NFL Network was not going to carry the Thursday night games.

ABC the only one of the major 4 that don't carry games now but then again they are owned by the same parent company (Disney) that owns ESPN. Yet as eluded to before would think NFL Network so the league can pocket more revenue and try to find a way to try and force an agreement with Time Warner Cable and other companies that don't have a contract to sign up with them and in turn make even more money.

Looks like we're already 0-1 for 2012.

But, I'm surprised he's promising this because the logistics of it are a nightmare.

He said NFLN would carry 13 games. So, I have to assume at least some of those would be on NFLN, as they have only carried 8 games in the past.

I agree. They will have to find 16 games between teams that haven't played a Thursday night yet. It's probably mathematically possible but I don't want to be the one crunching that schedule.

I love having a game every Thursday, Ive wanted one for years. The more days I can watch a game, the better.

One of the biggest effects it will have is on fantasy football.

This is why I love AT&T U-verse. They have the product and high quality. Plus the price is as good as TW.

Well, I am happy to see other teams than just the Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Jets & Pats* on prime time myself.

Primetime always was & alway will be about BIG MARKET teams not because they were the best. The only way a small market team gets on prime time on Sunday or Monday is by being one of the best while a big market team can be mediocre & still get on & usually more than once in a season.
