Well I have been working on this for a little bit now....
Here is my 7 ROUND Buffalo Bills Mock draft.
Remember we have Free agency opening up 1st so I think the Bills will fill a few needs there 1st...
1. Courtney Upshaw DE/OLB Alabama, so many different directions the Bills can go here. But his versatility is what I like the most. Can play with his hands down and can play up. Great against the run and a decent pass rusher. To be honest he is a solid all around player. Bills luv taking those guys down South and when you get a guy from Bama you know he has played against the best competition in the NCAA. I think Marcel Dareus will be asked about his former College teammate. WIN/WIN for the Bills.
I could see the Bills going OT, WR, or even CB here.......I think Coples is pretty much gone now after his great performance in the SR Bowl. He would have made a great pick here in the 4-3 the Bills are suppose to run.
here are some other names that could be called.......Jonathon Martin OT, Dre Kirk Patrick CB, Janoris Jenkins CB, Melvin Ingram DE/OLB
2. Andre Branch DE Clemson, You can never have enough guys that can get to the QB. This guys has great speend and a great burst off the edge. Look for him to be a 3rd down specialist right away and get to the QB.
Other names that I considered.....Ryan Tanehill QB, Zebrie Sanders OT, Dwight Jones WR.
3. Josh Robinson CB Central Florida, Good solid CB very good speed and a nact for the ball. Compared to Asante Samuel, where he broke Samuel's records for most pass deflections while at UCF. In the pass happy NFL you can never have to many CB'S. Look for a CB to be added early by the Bills.
4. Devier Posey WR Ohio St, Yea Im actually going to dig into the Big Ten...This guys was 1 of the bright points of a terrible year for the Buckeyes. Every game I watched this guy was making plays. Love his size at 6'2 210. Not the fastest guy but a great route runner. I think we need more playmakers so don't be surprised if the Bills go WR here.
4. Chandler Harnish QB, Northern Illinois, OK here is my QB pick. This is the type of guy Gailey would luv to have in his system. Your Mac player of the year, very mobile, 4.7 4o time and has pretty decent size, 6'2 220. I have heard alot of comparisons to Tim Tebow here but with a better arm. Funny story about Harnish.....This happened last nite, The wife, myself and my 2 year old son were at a Ice Cream place in Tampa. My son had a Buffalo Bills T shirt on. A mother comes to are table and said are we Buffalo Bills fans.......(Well what do you think I was thinking). I said yea I was born there and my son doesnt know it yet but he is too. So she says my son plays NCAA football and is here in the area training with NFL style trainers. I said whats his name, she said you probably wont know him but Chandler Harnish....I said actually I do know of him......She said that the Buffalo Bills have told him that if he is around in the 4th round that they are going to take a chance on him.........I asked if any other teams she said yes but Buffalo has contacted him alot more then any other team. They luv his mobility and could learn in the system for a few years......They did tell her we are set at QB now but are looking for a guy for the future.......Thought I would pass it on to you guys.....
5. DeAngelo Peterson TE, LSU, I like TE here because Gailey finally figured out how to utilize the TE position with Scott Chandler. Chandler had a very good year and has great hands. But we all know he is FA and I have no clue what type of $$ he is looking for and if the Bills will resign him. 6'3 230 pounds he is a very nice red zone option. Also a great special team player.
6. Matt Reynolds OT, BYU, Depth here, 1st team Moutain West OT, very good size and played on a line that gave up an average of 1 sack a game. Started every game this year. Versatile player that can play RT, or LT but mainly played LT at BYU.
7. Robert Blanton CB, Notre Dame, Solid CB but would be used mainly for Nickle package. Struggled a bit when left on an island. In the East West Shrine game he was solid around the ball every play and came up to hit.
Well tell me what you guys think.......
