A lot of times athletes will have committed to parties that they are being paid to attend before the actual event. Here in Atlanta it happens all the time with some of the bigger bars or clubs. They'll spend all week saying athlete X will be throwing an after party (one of the most popular was Shaq).
Maybe he was committed to going through a contract or fee he was being paid win or lose. Besides who hasn't had a bad day and just wanted to go get obliterated.COMING SOON...

As much as I love to rip the Patriots, I can't fault him. The guy's like 23 and probably didn't get to party at all since the season started in September, save maybe once or twice during the Pats' bye week or their first round bye in the playoffs.
