Kyle McCarthy. Which bodes well for us and Stanford Routt. As he was rumored to be visiting KC today. That said I think if he visits Dallas we could be in trouble if they make a hard push for him.

Dallas does have cap trouble as well. They are also debating on using the franchise tag on Spencer.

Signing some patsy has no bearing on Routt. The Chiefs are looking at Routt because Brandon Carr is a free agent. It is a way to keep their options open as they negotiate with Carr. It is leverage.

It could be they see him as a better value than Carr as a replacement. Carr will attract interest, and if they haven't signed him yet they may be ready to move on.
