But the good news is I feel more rested now, and I feel like I still have a lot to offer. In my exit interview they told me they appreciated the way I handled things and that their options are still open, but I think they like smaller linebackers now."

If true then Scott will most likely be resigned.

This is also fairly important to take into account when discussing the future of free agent Bryan Scott, who frequently lined up at linebacker in the team's nickel formation. Out of place in a base 3-4, Scott could once again find himself playing the role of 4-3 outside linebacker, a position he held under Dick Jauron for a time, in Buffalo's plans for 2012 should he be re-signed.

That is Wanny's defense. He wants speed and more speed. He wants bigger guys if they can run, but will take undersized guys who fly to the ball.

I'd add Demario Davis from Ark. St. to your list. He moves around pretty well and competed as well as the other LBs at the senior bowl.

Just because the don't want Andre Davis, doesn't mean they want "smaller" LBs. They just want LBs that don't suck and aren't slow.

The NFL rules have become so biased towards the pass game. We've all seen a couple of seasons of LBs trying to cover multiple TEs and 4 wr sets.

I like Scott at S but please- no more 'tweeners and no more undersized defenders. Did we learn nothing from the Perry Fewell days?
