Who says Bowe would be willing to sign with Buffalo for $9 million...?

Just an FYI, the Packers just resigned Jermichael Finley for $15 mil for 2 years (average of $7.5 mil per)... and he's a TE, not a WR.

I already saw what Finley got.
Know one has a clue what the rate will be for a WR.

I'm just going off of what you said:

So, you let Stevie go, because he "wants too much." What happens when Bowe wants more than the $9 mil you want to give him?

As far as "Stupid mistakes" are concerned, I agree if you're talking about the excessive celebration penalties. But, if you're talking about drops (as many others have) keep in mind that Bowe was 2nd in the NFL in drops last season with 12... Stevie Johnson didn't even make the top 10 of that list.

IMO, this isn't about Stevie... This is about the Bills' FO preaching "build through the draft" and "re-sign your own players." This is a prime example of the Bills practicing what they preach.

6 mil per is fair? really?

I dont understand why people think we can low ball and play hard ball with players, you realize where the joke of the NFL right now? We haven't been to the playoffs in 10 years, were not a major market, and its not like we have a young undisputed franchise QB and proven HC that FA's gravitate towards and want to play for. Its hard enough to get players to come here as is and letting talented players like Stevie go doesn't exactly help our case with other FA's

EXACTLY! If they let Stevie walk than that whole theory they preach is utter bull**** and the fans and media should kill them on it every chance they get

Maybe they won't franchise tag him, but they could transition tag him...that would allow the Bills to let the market decide his value and then decide whether or not to match.

if this is true...another terrible front office decision...weird....
The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.

In the first place there is plenty of time to negotiate a new contract. In the second place I would be much more concerned the Bills would not franchise Stevie if a contract does not get done before the fifth if it was a TEAM source that said they would not do so. A LEAGUE source? WHO the hell in the league outside of the Bills organization knows what they will do? I say it is BS.

This FO has zero, I mean zero intelligence and/or common sense. Yeah, Stevie is a bit of a knuckle head, but the guy makes plays, and is a very good WR. Why would you let one of our very few very good players walk?? B/C you're ****ing stupid!!
If you walk with Jesus today, you don't have anything to worry about tomorrow...
