    Bills, Stevie make progress

    February 24, 2012 - 4:37 PM

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Buffalo Bills made some progress today with the agent for receiver Stevie Johnson in their effort to reach an agreement on a new contract.

"We had a very productive meeting," said Johnson's representative, C.J. LaBoy. "I'm very optimistic. I'm looking forward to continue talking."

suddenly the agent is optimistic the exact same day its revealed the bills are still considering the franchise tag

Until something happens I don't care anymore... He's signing, he isn't, he's not getting franchised, he has lice, what the hell ever.
      Bye Bye Brady...

The Bills want Stevie, Stevie wants to remain a Bill. A deal gets done, people need to have patience.

When FA WRs are being discussed on ESPN or the NFL Network, Stevie is hardly mentioned. I believe that is because they all know he will resign with Buffalo.

Well I think this is a great sign. The fact that we're seeing actual quotes from the agent himself that are positive is really encouraging.

Its all BS until the deal is done. I think what I've always thought... The Bills will resign him if they deem him worthy.

Yeah so they find a point where both are happy or both are not entirely happy & get the deal done.

Hearing from the agent and Nix themselves is MUCH more reassuring either way than hearing from La Canfora's contact.

Aren't you banned from gettin' jerseys, unless it's someone we don't actually want to have stay healthy, or remain on the team.
