Who are your top 10 Bills Busts of all time?

Here's mine:

8 are 1st rounders, 2 are 2nd round picks.

10. Bucky Brooks. This guy was drafted in round 2 in 1994, and I'm pretty sure his career tackles are more than his career receptions. He was a WR, btw.

9. Todd Collins, QB, 1995. Touted as the next QB to lead the Bills to the promise land, he instead started a 25+ year span of futility at the position.

8. JP Losman, QB, 2004. Many would like to see him higher, and I wouldn't argue, but the guys above him sucked just as bad, maybe worse.

7. Booker Moore, RB, 1981. Played 4 years, had 400 yards rushing. Was a first round pick.

6. John McCargo, DT, 2006. What can I say about John. He sucks.

5. Erik Flowers-- DE, 2000. 5 career sacks. FIVE.

4. Perry Tuttle, WR, 1982. Lasted 4 years. Had a whopping 25 receptions. Career high of 17 in 83 before going to Tampa, where he was hurt for the entire year.

3. Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB, 2009. I debated about Maybin. He didn't see the field much in his time in Buffalo, but did ok when he went to the Jets. Still, getting paid what the Bills paid him, he was a huge bust for his lack of production with the Bills.

2. Ronnie Harmon, RB, 1986. A monumental bust. Had decent numbers, for a 5th round pick. As a first round pick, he was a huge disappointment.

1. Mike Williams, OT, 2002. He was the 4th pick overall that year. Want to read something that will make you sick to your stomach? Listen to a few guys taken after Fat Mike that year. Dwight Freeney. Jeremy Shockey. Levi Jones. Bryant McKinnie. John Henderson. Quentin Jammer. Ed Reed.

You just hate on Harmon because he dropped that ball in the Cleveland playoff game.

Looking at your list tells me you didn't see the first 20 years of the Bills, when plenty of bad picks launched a common practice of bad picks.

Al Cowlings, Walt Patulski, Tom Ruud, Phil Dokes...how about Tony Hunter, who was picked ahead of Jim Kelly in 1983 ? He stunk.

I'll admit, I didn't go past the 80s.

Tom Cousineau belongs on the list.

Mike Williams takes the cake in any time period, or off anyone's table.

Tom Cousineau belongs on the list.

He should be on that list, but he is the BEST draft bust in Bills history because the Bills were able to trade him to Cleveland & used that pick to draft Jim Kelly.

Tony Hunter, also.

Here's a hypothetical...if the Cousineau trade was never made, do the Bills still go Hunter at #12 or pass on him and take Kelly two spots earlier?

I don't know how many remember, but Bryant McKinnie said he absolutely would not play for Buffalo. I wonder, had he not made that statement if Buffalo would have drafted him instead of Williams.

Maybin will sadly have a mediocre career, so if we are going with career busts that's too early, but busts as a Bill, then yeah he was a waste.

You can just about fill up the entire list with players from the 70's. Add Reuben Gant and Terry Miller to the list.

Basically, they had Joe D, Paul Seymour and Mario Clark as non bust 1st round picks for an entire decade.

And unfortunately that's still a lot better than they've done since Y2K. :ill:

Todd Collins was a 2nd rounder right? Not really a bust in my book. Add Spiller onto that list.

Btw, it is nice to see that Mike Williams slimmed down and has had 2 pretty decent years for 2 different teams catching passes.

Collins was a monumental bust. He was projected to fill Jim Kelly's shoes. He ended up not being able to fill Grace Kelly's shoes.

I wouldn't even think of adding Spiller yet. He looked very dangerous when he got a chance last year.
