Doesn't really mean a thing. I'd give up almost anything to get that kid, though.

He's one of the most impressive athletes/people that I've seen come out of college.

2 years in a row we see a player at the QB position and the skills are unreal.
This year Luck and RG3 is unreal.

We'll trade up for him, no doubt.

He's talented, athletic, and isn't one of those "high motor" white guys...

Wait... that means we have no interest...

maybe the FO realized fitz can't throw a deep ball!

He has trouble with almost every throw out there, not just deep balls, even screen passes are crap, throws behind on slants like the one to Johnson against Cincy that really was caught but since it was behind it gave the appearance he trapped it, and he regularly gets is WRS killed. Seattle won 8 with Whitehurt and Jackson, and the Cards won 8 games mostly with Skelton, there is little doubt in my mind the Bills could have won close to that with just about anyone at QB.

Bills must do all they can to try and get one of these guys, and if not they must consider the Tanehills, Cousins, Weedens type of guys.

"TODAY, I am 6'2&3/8"" Well, at least he isn't a small guy from a small school.

Happens all the time.

However I think this was simply the Bills doing their due diligence. If the price is right, don't think the Bills wouldn't bite. There is about a .000000001% chance of the price being right though.

The guy has Vick speed with a Jim Kelly arm, how isn't this guy going 1st? I can also see why the Bills are looking at him, if obtained I'd say we'd have a full house & a good back-up in Fitz (where he belongs).

He plays in the Big -12 so he isn't one of our typical small school guys.
The SEC guys on our team are the best players and some of them where late picks or free agents, go fiqure,
Please list the good small school guys on the Bills. That's when they are not hurt. Zing.

I don't think a trade up should be ruled out. We're talking about a phenom here. The kid is loaded with talent and athleticism. He's a jacked up Mike Vick with a rocket arm and accuracy.

The Bills SHOULD be thinking of ways to get up to #2 to take him otherwise their crazy. Granted we may not have the ammo to get there but we should definitely be thinking about how we can.

Aren't you guys glad we won a few more meaningless games this year? This was our year to suck for luck, except we were too stupid to do such a obvious thing. Weve sucked for 12 straight years, but the bills can not even get loosing right.

Ask colt fans if they regret this year or the year they drafted Payton. In any case, bills weren't going to win SB this year & they didn't

Who WILL overpay for him ? Either Cleveland or Washington, who have the needed number of picks and desperate outlook.

Rams will make out like a bandit and must convert all those picks into useful players.

Improve through the draft was they FO's motto, well here's your chance. That's a big leap from 10th to 2nd overall. The cost would probably be very steep considering other teams that pick in front of us might also be interested in RGIII. Watch out for Washington.

I expect Cleveland to trade up to #2. Wash, Cleve, Miami & Seattle will get into the bidding war for Peyton & Flynn.

The Rams would be stupid to trade down any further than they have to. Although, I think the Rams are stupid for trading at all because Bradford will prove to be an injury prone mediocre QB. Cleveland not only has the highest pick but also the amunition to make the trade up.

CleveSteve
02-27-2012, 09:20 AM
Cleveland is not interested in Manning. We know we're not good enough to win in the next year or two and Manning wouldn't want to go to a cold weather outdoor team with no receivers lol.

Flynn is a possibility, but it makes more sense for Miami to get him since his old QB coach is the head coach there and they have less of a shot of moving up in the draft. I think Miami will overpay for Flynn.

That, of course, assumes that Mike Sherman can't talk Philbin into Tannehill. A bird in the hand, though...

Seattle, Washington, Houston, San Fran. Those are the teams I think are going to fight over Manning.

It's just not gonna happen, people. It would require us to give up way too much.

And the org has committed to Fitz. Like it or not, it's the reality.

I'm surprised they even met with him. I think they're just trying to bump up the price for other teams that may be interested in trading up by feigning interest themselves.

If so, I kinda doubt other teams are crying "Oh no, the Bills! Gotta go deep into the vault now!"

That said, I like RGIII too much to not inquire about the price.

CleveSteve

Or get some info on Wright or Ganaway. I'm assuming you're not in the market for Blake OC.

It's not quite like that. If a team contacts the Rams about the pick, they have leverage in saying "well, make us a good offer, because we have X number of other teams interested in Griffin." The higher that number, the more the Rams will get for the pick, especially if they're teams in the top 1/3 of the draft where something could potentially get done.

i hope RGIII can rush the passer. because if we trade up for him, we won't improve the pass rush and the bills defense will suck for a 3rd straight year.

Worst thing that can happen is that they force someone else to pay more to move up to number 2 to get him. JMO But wow.

The pros of trading up for Griffin outweighs the cons EASILY.
Pros
- Legit franchise QB potential and is a great fit for Gailey's system, much better than Fitzpatrick
- Will attract FAs to Buffalo in 2013 and beyond
- Lower bust rate than any pass rusher in this draft
- Will sell a lot more tickets next year
Cons
- Cost atleast 2 possibly 3 1st round picks.

3 - 5 years from now the chances of the Bills being a perennial playoff contender will be a lot higher with Griffin than Fitzpatrick or which ever mid round scrub the Bills attempt to draft every year.
