Does anybody know when he is making his debut for the Sabres? Also, how many minutes do you guys think he will get assuming he is on the the 3rd line? I appreciate any input.

How far did he have to go down the US west coast to meet team?? I'd assume he'd be at practice tonight or the Wed. morning skate, they're 3 hours behind out there & it's 11:17 AM PST. Plenty of time to make flight arrangements from yesterday, private or public.

He's still young, no need to rush him right now.

Vancouver let him go because he was more than a 3rd line center, but they just didnt have room for him.

a 3rd line center in vancouver = 1st line center in buffalo.

He was drafted two spots ahead of Myers, and he's done well this season considering his limited ice time, so I don't think it's unreasonable to want him to produce before the year is out. He'd better be better than Roy, or there was no point trading for him.

I believe I heard that he flew back to Buffalo and will have a physical with the Sabres doctors before meeting up with the team. I can't imagine he wouldn't be playing on Wednesday. I go with 14 minutes of ice time, including throwing him on the PP at times.

If he really had to fly back to Buffalo for a physical, then he's had at most one practice with the team. They're not just going to throw him on one of the top 2 lines.

No worries, though, he'll work his way up quickly. Hell, with the way Lindy shuffles likes and the way Roy and Boyes **** the bed mid-game, it wouldn't surprise me to see him move up in the first game.

nooooooo! Boyes is a natural wing, Coho is a natural center. Boyes' production went down after he was moved to C last year. If there's any hope of getting anything out of Boyes, the best thing we could do is put him at wing with a decent C. With Coho, we may be able to do that.

i think with flying from west to east then back west and limited skating time with the team, i'd put him on the third line and use sparingly and see how he does. then let him play a little more in SJ. then after a couple practices let him loose.

I realize we are like 5 points out of a playoff spot, but the sabres said, "if we have to take a step back to go forward." My sense the team isn't too focused on making the playoffs. i realize its not a totally hopeless cause, but it's not worth it based at what's at stake.

the sabres have one top center now and a decent lottery ball puts them with two good centers and picks to find enforcers through draft and or trade.

In a perfect world, where we don't dwell.

from the interview i saw with reiger.

seems like he wants Ennis, Myers, Vanek, Hodgson to be his new core.

Paul Hamilton

Lindy said that he thinks Cody Hodgson will start on a line with Tyler Ennis. Hodgson, Myers and Ennis were all teammates on Canada’s gold-medal winning team at the 2009 World Junior Championship in Ottawa.

I could are lines eventually being:

LW Vanek C Roy RW Pominville
LW Boyes C Hodgson RW Stafford
LW Ennis C McCormick RW Veino
LW Gerbe C Ellis RW Kaleta

Boyes and Ennis could be swapped. Also Veino could might move up too if he ever heats up. I hate to say woulda shoulda but still lamenting we went with Leino over Tomas Fleischmann this off season.
