    Ravens to cut Lee Evans

Lee Evans’ stint with the Baltimore Ravens didn’t exactly begin according to plan in 2011, and now it appears his time with the AFC North champs is coming to an end. The Ravens plan to release Evans, along with cornerback Domonique Foxworth, according to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times:
"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united by error." -- Martin Luther

"Those who appease the crocodile will simply be eaten last." -- Winston Churchill

    I'm shocked! Not really.

Anyone still think the Ravens fleeced us on this trade or think Evans would be a star elsewhere in the league?

Bet he signs w/ the Pats and does pretty good.

I could see him landing in Jacksonville or St Louis.

Not me. Someone posted a site with Stevie's stats and an overwelming amount of them showed he runs predominately short routers which has never been Evans' strong suite. Not to mention Nix is clamoring for a Calvin Johnsonesque WR which is definately not Lee.

Lee showed us his max potential when he ran past people deep with JP - that and some pretty good hands are the extent of them. If he were to catch on with a legit passing attack like the Saints or Pats he may do well but hes kindof a one-trick pony, and at this point isnt overly fast either.

Maybe we could sign him and trade him for a 4th.

I think Lee will sign with a team that has a good qb and bounce back with a decent season.

I was mad at first when we traded him, but I think I like that 4th round pick better now.

I'd bring him back if possible. Won't cost much, and we don't have a deep ball threat anymore. He's still got some speed.

Stevie - 1st-3rd round WR - Nelson - Evans could be pretty decent.

I think there are better options in free agency at this point. I'm still a big fan of Evans, but him and Fitz just couldn't seem to click for whatever reason.

Getting a 4th for him was incredible. Feels good to be on the winning side of a deal like that.
