    Roy vanek and pommers

This line sucks! These 3 are horrible on the same line. They are constantly getting poke checked, they never maintain the zone, never getting the puck out when the other team is setting up. Pommers needs to be on his own line with other people that he can set up. Pommers will work well with Leino and Gerbe. Vanek would work with Hodgson and Ennis.

Vanek and Pomminville were a lot better when Roy wasn't centering them.

This is the core Darcy chose in 2007 (actually 06).

Im pretty sure there's a direct correlation between when that line stopped producing, and when Roy became their center

I'd almost want to see Hodgson centering between Pominville and Vanek. He seems to be good at setting guys up, but idiots like Stafford and Ennis can't finish.

It's a gamble but it's not like we have much to lose. If Pommers and Vanek don't start getting on the board immediately, whatever long shot we have at the playoffs is gone.

Roy should get the Selke trophy for how well he shuts down that line.

How many times yesterday on ONE power play did hodgson set them up, only for them to wiff the one timer, or stop it, wait to long then turn it over.

I think Ennis whiffed on 3 all by himself.

Stafford had Hodgson or Ennis going to the net on a 2 on 1, and he shot it off the back of the net.

NBC ripped him a new one on WPGs 1st goal, when really if your a Dman, you dont send a knuckle ball up to the redline to your players on a line change. you get him a pass he can collect control and immedately get it deep,

how many times does the team go for a change when they dont even get the puck past the red line.

Sekera and Weber half assed the entire game, 1 goal Sekera coulda tied up Ladd, instead of letting him get his stick down and put it past miller, but he was just skating backwards in front of him.

Weber, got his ass burned because Erhoff Crashed Low and No one paid attention to Wheeler turning at the blue line as soon as they blocked Pominville's shot.

Then Again, Sekera was Coming back across from Thorburn and Regehr, Sekera Could have Easily come across and supported Regehr by taking Thorburn to the wall he was alone as WPG was changing lines.

as you can see, as soon as Ruff made Roy the 6th Man last night I called it. and sure enough, cheap weak penalty.

The trade deadline is past, so roy is back to pouting.
