All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Maybe because Gailey thinks Fitz is a franchise QB and believes he is the best option, unless he has no throwing arm?
How many NFL coaches would sit their starting QB if he told them he could play? Not many. There aren't many backups in the NFL that could come in and win a few games, either. In fact, I don't think I can think of more than a couple.
It is curious that Thigpen couldn't get into a game once even with Fitz so banged up.

I admire Fitzpatrick's guts to want to play but you're right. Sometimes you need an adult to step in and make the right decision for the team. Having said that I have zero confidence pig pen would have been any better, he's dismal.

YEPP. Fitzputrid has a great throwing arm to begin with. I can especially imagine how much better his throwing accuracy and strength improved as the soreness/pain level of cracked ribs began to rise.
