All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
id be okay with resigning Gaustad.. please let Boyes go, and trade Roy in the off season
there is no trading Roy. NO ONE is going to take that contract, not even for one year.
the ONLY hope is trading him at the deadline next year to some contender with an injury, and even that's unlikely because anyone who's a contender likely won't have the cap space to absorb that ****ty contract.

how does 4 million cap hit mean "****ty contract"?
64 games played, 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points and -11.
$4 million is STEEP for that kind of production.
Roy is NOT a legit 1st/2nd line C. Arguably 2nd on a bad team.
The Sabres attempt to use him as a 1st line C and the results speak for themselves.
So, because he is having the worst year of his career he isn't worth it? Most people would look at his career .82 points per game average before this year and probably have a different view.
I agree that he isn't a first line center and I admittedly don't like him, but he isn't THAT bad of a player either and the money he makes isn't that bad either compared to what he SHOULD be producing.

No one except Darcy pays players for what they SHOULD be producing.

You do understand stuff like this just makes you look silly right? No one does? Really?
With each passing day it is more evident that you get WAY too caught up in your teams and really don't pay enough attention to the whole league your favorite team is apart of.
I am just glad we don't have Gomez on our team. If you were a Habs fan you might have LITERALLY gone insane.

And see, here's the problem: other teams making mistakes isn't an excuse for the Sabres (or the Bills) to make the same mistakes.
