In addition to Andrew Luck taking over at quarterback and Peyton Manning playing elsewhere, the Colts will have a whole lot of holes to fill with the news that they have released Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai and Melvin Bullitt.

He's 32 but if he's got anything left he's worth a look. Good tight ends can play at a high level well into their 30s.

i would personally like to see shockey here first, but he's another good option, and like manning will be free to sign with anyone as soon as todays waiver wire is published

Gary Brackett and Curtis Painter also.

Boy, the Colts are cutting back to scratch...Luck is going to have a tough couple of first seasons.

Receiver first with a bum wrist even after surgery. His tank is pratically on 'E'.

Good tight ends can play at a high level well into their 30s.Honestly, based on how he's played recently, I'd say that we're better off taking our chances with Chandler or a rookie. Don't get me wrong, at one time he was a hell of a player, but I think that his best days are certainly behind him. I wouldn't be shocked if he only got calls from a couple of teams wanting to kick the tires.

Kicking the tires is all I'm saying. He may very well be done and should only get a no-risk, low-cost deal if he's signed.

Id like brackettMight be worth a look, especially going back to the 4-3 front. My only concern with him would be his inability to stay healthy, and obviously his age. I think that at this point in his career, he's no better than a two down LB, and would struggle to see time in this LB corps.

Wow the Colts are cleaning house. My thoughts exactly. Everybody's going to be wet behind the ears next year for the Colts. Even if not as new players in the NFL, but just new playing together.

this means that the colts will draft Fleener with their 2nd pick and reunite Luck with Fleener.

How the mighty have fallen...

If we can't re-sign Scott, then I would be very intrigued with Melvin Bullitt (and it would also be a sweet ass jersey). After his awful performance last season but all the promise in the world, Addai will make a great addition to a new team (I can see him as a Redskin...).

Dallas Clark... well as stated before, if we can kick the tires a bit and see if he can be THAT receving TE again, then let's give it a go. Pass a physical and catch some passes from Fitzy.

Gary Brackett... maybe. And Curtis Painter is trash... but an upgrade over the moron backup we have now... which is saying something... whatsisname... Thigtrash... That's it!

I wish they would cut Antoine Bethea. I'd love to see him in a Pats uniform. They are only cutting their older and injury-prone guys though.
