Can't we call the Raiders & offer them a 6th rounder for Wimbley?

They're cutting him tomorrow & his contract seems reasonable ? We wouldn't have to fight others for his services & could pick up another huge FA, you out there Buddy?

Wimbley is owed $43.5 million over the next four years, including a salary of $11 million next season. $6.5 million of that is guaranteed, and the other $4.5 million plus another $13 million becomes guaranteed on March 17.

I like Wembley, but $44 mil over 4 years with $24 mill guaranteed plus a draft pick seems like a pretty steep investment. Is he really worth it?

Seems like that change to what he would get in FA, why not be proactive?

ESPN.com's Bill Williamson reports that the Raiders have not spoken to the agent for linebacker Kamerion Wimbley "in several days," and are expected to release their top edge rusher barring a "major change."
