With the Free Agency period opening on Tuesday at 4pm its time to take a look at what we would do as we continue our Be The GM series with our Shopping List. We have gone through every available FA this year and begun to evaluate what we need versus what’s available. Below is a list of seven free agents we would target once that period opens on Tuesday.

I don't mind Jones but only as a secondary piece to a pass rusher. Jones will not solve our pass rush problems because he simply is not effective on the edge. His best play has come playing DT next to Haynesworth. Since then he has regressed badly. And playing DE last year he was not good at all.Originally posted by ServoBillieves
What he provides is a decent pass rush from the inside (although we already have KW and Dareus) and decent run defense on first down as a DE.

Which didn't work out...He was not good in any position he played (DE, OLB and DT) he never broke out like we hoped when he came in as what was supposed to be a pass rushing DT.Originally posted by ServoBillievesComment

I'd like to get a TE, as it seems to be a buyer's market for them this offseason.
Two positions I don't want to get in free agency are RB and WR. I don't really mind using UDFA's as our third string RB's. Free agent WR's rarely live up to their contracts, would rather draft and develop.
Regarding the individuals on the list, none of them seem too bad. I do like the idea of Kellen Davis, as I agree that Chandler is a backup TE. The Bills weren't interested in LeVoir last year, why would they be this year? Jason Jones could certainly be a possibility."Misguided political correctness tethers our intellects."

It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

If you ever saw Josh Johnson stand next to Josh Freeman, you would see he is SMALL. Looks like he has a small frame next to Freeman. The Bucs are letting Johnson walk not because it would cost a lot of money to keep him, they are not keeping Johnson because he SUCKS as a QB.
If the Bills want to replace Thigpen, they should do it with somebody decent.Comment

Land the RDE and draft a guy like Perry or Curry to play LDE. We don't need to grade every move by making sure it fills every need possible. We need a strong side DE to hold the edge and make plays v. the run.COMING SOON...

Spencer Johnson is 6'3, 306 and has never been known to be a DE and probably never should of been tried at DE (and certainly not at OLB)Originally posted by ServoBillieves
