Brown is sub par, but McNeil would be of interest but has been injured a bunch the last 2 years

McNeil is only 28 and Nix is obviously very familiar. He's definitely a guy I could see us pursuing since it doesn't look like we'll keep Bell. How much do you think McNeil would cost?

Good, hopefully Bell gets a wake up call when he hits the open market.

God I was praying we would take Mcneil on draft day

McNeil would be a nice addition but we are limited with our cap. $23 million (32 cash to cap) is not a lot of money with two big deals to renew and rookies to sign.

I have little doubt that if the Bills want to spend money, they can and will. Nix has specifically said they want to make big splashes. It might mean resorting to cap strategies that we don't normally follow.

mcneill couldn't pass the chargers physical so buyer beware there

True but Dwan Edwards couldn't pass the Ravens initial physical either.

This helps the odds of the Bills resigning Bell

Why would Nix let one LT with injury issues walk then sign a FA LT with injury issues?

When Mcneil is healthy he is a top 10 LT. That's why.

It really is not that bad. Players can be cut (i.e. Edwards). Guaranteed money can be placed in future years.

And the rookies are not a ton in cash to cap.

Not to mention they do have some carry over from last year

Yeah, but then we wouldn't have McCargo!

McNeil. The juice is worth the squeeze.

According to the BN article the rookies should account for 15 million of the cash to cap number which currently stands at 32. That's an awful lot.

I agree some numbers can be moved but McNeil is going to cost over 10 a season, that's going to be almost or half our space. We can either make one big move and a couple of small ones, or a number of middle of the road moves.

I'd prefer option 2 at this time.

McNeil has had multipe surgeries the last 2 seasons and has some concerns. He will not be paid $10 million a season.

If he's healthy he's a top 10 tackle. Do you really think he's going to take that far below top 10 money?

I don't pretend to know a lot about the cap, but in my experience following the NFL, it seems that rookies rarely count much against the cap, for whatever reasons.

Yes. I believe he will have to. Most teams are struggling to make ends meet this yr and I don't believe he will encounter enough demand to get $10 mil/yr. I feel it will be considerably less...

name the top 10 LT's and what they are making

how many are making $10 million or more

he is not healthy he is coming back from mulitple injuries. he'll get paid but not $10 million or over

My bet says $8 million tops. Most likely a little less then this with incentives if I was to guess
