I wouldn't mind Meachem, he's a product of a system and he can be a product of ours.

Also, he's a name I've heard before, so Buddy wasn't lying if that's the case.

Let's all calm down and wait for a link (or poll... wait... this isn't a Mike thread...)

did I post that I saw it personally NO.. I merely said it's being posted on multiple forums

I should of added multiple people.

unless their is some huge conspiracy to post the same report from a multitude of accounts then I tend to believe that it has some truth.

However it's looking like more of a visit now.... so it looks like the internet strikes again with reacting before verifying

This guy would be a very, very good signing. Perfect dynamic across from Stevie (speed, speed, speed) and allows Nelson to stay in the slot full-time.

BertSquirtgum
03-13-2012, 03:55 PM
Meachem would be a great signing anyone that thinks differently is

If they sign williams and meachem and i would buy more than one set of season tickets again for the first time in 3 years.

Philagape
03-13-2012, 03:59 PM
He's good enough to be the other starter, but they better not give him a huge deal. If he's such a physical specimen, why wasn't he a star in New Orleans? He had plenty of opportunity with an elite offense.
Productive? He's never had more than 45 catches or 722 yards in a season. David Nelson had that kind of year last year. Meachem has a decent amount of TDs, but that's with the Saints.

I'd like Meachem, but its Williams or bust for me. Anything less would be a disappointment. If we do land Mario, anything else would just be a cherry on the top.

it was weird tho, everytime i saw the saints they played like 6 WR"s in 2-3 wr sets

and then add jimmy graham and bush/sproils

it was always weird sets and they never seemed to always be the same guys

pissed me off for fantasy only reason i noticed plus they were all teen numbers

Let me put it this way: Why did Colston become the star wideout over Meachem, a first-round pick?
How are Meachem's hands, routes, savvy? Not saying I don't want him, just that I don't see him as this stud like others apparently do.

With Morgan and Garcon apparently gone, I would not let this guy leave Buffalo. Been my #1 target in FA, considering how well he'd compliment Stevie's skill set. Hoping this comes through.

Yes but even times they didnt have colston in the game when he should be, it was like why are they using meachem and moore. all i am saying is it never seemed to be a set #1 and #2 i think in buffalo it will be that way

obviously we will mix it up but saints just confused me sometimes

It's interesting. I would have thought V-Jax but they go Meachem first. And it's clear they wanted him over V-Jax?

Meachem seems to have some dropsy's but he's a very good WR.

Garcon got more from Washington than SJ did from Buffalo. IMO if the Bills offer is anything less then Pierre's, he at least going to listen to some other teams.

Then c ya. That would be huge insult to Stevie. Meachem is worth maybe half that. Has never had more than 45 catches in a season.

meacham has made some big plays for the saints and would be a great fit for buffalo. his numbers would undoubtedly be better than competing with several very good targets in N.O. new orleans has the best TE in the game (or one of them), colston, who has been brees's security blanket since day one, and another 1st rounder in devry henderson, plus lance more, and the rbs that they use as wrs all on the time to create mismatches. is he the best wr out there? no, but he is exactly what we need across from stevie. He is big and fast and will command coverage. we need that guy that can get 45-55 catches a season and break some games open for us.

as far as the contract, i dont think his past performance commands #1 wr money. garcon is the skins #1 now. i think he would command high end #2 money tho just based on supply and demand. he is one of the top free agents out there. i would have loved garcon, but i dont see much difference between the two. both have had somewhat inconsistent hands at times and played with great qbs.. but i think they have the same amount of upside.

Mr. Pink

Meachem would be a solid signing and a solid number 2 WR here.

Meachem is a good #2 WR. He'll stretch the field, and he has some size.

He should come just under what Stevie signed for, my guess is he'll get a $5 mil a year offer, maybe upwards toward $6 IMO
