Depends on what his goals are. If he is looking for the big pay day or is he looking to win or a little of both? If he wants to win, then he takes a pay-cut to play for the Pats. If he wants the money then he sings with a team like the Bills. If he wants a little of both, Chicago or back to Houston.

i don't think this is dead until he actually leaves. he came in on a 5pm flight and sat at a restaurant. get him to one bills drive and when he leaves there not a bill, then there are issues.

The guy is still in Buffalo. He wasn't going to sign away the next 6 or 7 years of his life at the dinner table waiting for dessert. It's more fitting that he signs tomorrow and has a press conference anyway.

To begin with, the Bills aren't going to make Mario Williams the highest paid player in the NFL without having him take a physical before he puts pen to paper.

By all accounts, he just met the Bills' brass and had dinner with them, Meacham and Kyle Williams after arriving in Buffalo this evening. Even if they agreed on the parameters of a deal tonight, he hasn't toured the facilities, met with any of the other players (you don't think the Bills wouldn't have guys who live in the area on hand at OBD to meet and talk with him?) or taken a physical yet.

Regardless of whether he likes the money the Bills are talking about or not, are going to have to happen before Mario signs on the dotted line. That's why, usually, when a player comes in to visit a team in the evening (he arrived at, what, about 5:15 pm at the airport and went to dinner at approx. 7:15 pm), he stays overnight and visits the facilities the next morning.

The fact that Mario Williams (and Robert Meacham, too) didn't sign a contract at the dinner table at Tempo doesn't mean a thing. At least not yet. And, neither does the fact that he may have another visit scheduled.

If the Bills don't schedule a press conference by noon tomorrow and Mario Williams leaves town before they announce that they have signed him, well, then you can start getting upset. But, what's happened so far is no more of an indication of what's going to happen than the fact that he arrived at the airport this evening.
