Interesting how the people who seem to have any clue about what is happening in this situation are all on Twitter, yet anytime anybody mentions it, there are 15 posts about how "gay" Twitter is.

It is 2012. If you don't use Twitter, don't blame the rest of the world. It is not rocket science, and instead of complaining about how "hard" it is to understand Tweets do what Mikey and the rest of the free world has done, and spend five minutes and learn how to use it. If you want fast news...that is a great ****ing place to get it.

I'll give all of the people that don't "get" it a quick hint. There are 140 characters...but you can use those characters to link to a webpage, where you can put a whole lot more characters. Bonus tip: it is not a coincidence that anybody who is anybody in journalism uses Twitter. They are doing it for up to the minute sharing of ideas, which if you are looking for that kind of thing...it would make sense to stop fighting the social network that is clearly the center of all news in the world today.

...or just keep saying it is stupid.

As for Mario...he is signed, sealed, and delivered by 4:00 PM tomorrow.

The people on Twitter don't have any more information than anyone else. The accuracy of the "tweets" on this Mario Williams issue have been appalling, and even national guys like La Canfora and Clayton have tweeted things about this that has turned out to be wrong.

Twitter has created a situation where immediacy is more important than accuracy and people like you confuse unconfirmed tweets with actual news.

Personally, I'd rather just wait an extra 10 minutes until someone who actually cares about their accuracy and credibility vets the story before posting it on the Internet.

You seem to think you can convince me of something. As Ive explained to you before its all about who you follow. If you act like a reasonable adult and don't go running about every tweet every 15 seconds you can very quickly find out when even the big names miss on a breaking news bulletin.

The problem truly isn't twitter, its the idiots who use it and come running places like here and start a thread about every new tweet.

if this is true, then we got really lucky on how warm it is today. I doubt Mario would find the outdoor experience so appealing if it was a single-digit temp day with wind chills below zero in early Feb.

I signed up for it a long time ago. Back whens stevie dropped the ball last year. I was on it for about a day and haven't had one urge to go back on because it's gay. I don't understand the point of having to put # and when referencing someone i have put a @. Why can't people just use it to have a normal conversation? Well, that's why it's extra gay in my opinion.
