I'm sure he doesn't realize this. This would be the biggest signing in Buffalo sports history, and pretty much every single fan realizes it and cares about the outcome. There are few, if any, sports teams in this country that have that kind of passion from fans. Combine that with the relatively small size of the city compared with other cities that have pro teams, and I think it's a bit of a culture shock for athletes.

There are great fans of every team, but I've never been to a place where people seem to live and die for the sports teams like they do in WNY. Life literally revolves around the Bills and Sabres.
