The visits are coming in fast and furious now as we have learned the WVU DE/OLB Bruce Irvin will visit the Bills in Orchard Park soon. Irvin is a pass rush specialist that many project as a 34 OLB but his size may be limit him to a 43 scheme.

I have to think he'll play LB for us.

Toward the end at Pitt, in his 3rd and long and nickel rush scenario's, most of his linemen on field were tweeners and he had his DC use a bit of the sugar rush, without all the movement though. Makes sense to at least bring in Irvin too, given his penchant for second chances for troubled kids.

Bills are definitely realizing that the league is pass heavy.

as pass rush heavy D's are developed to combat the pass heavy league the return to the run dominant game won't be too far away IMO... evolution

Won't have the coverage skills. Guy is a pass rusher only, more like a 3rd specialist.

NOT THE DUDE...

he would be the backup slb, and then use him on 3rd down...

He'll get destroyed at the point of attack, cant man the strong side.

Let the guy do what he does, rush the passer, why does he immediately have to play OLB?

If you play OLB in this division you better be able to cover TEs, and Irvin can't, not yet anyway.

Caught a glimpse of how it could be effective with Denvers offense last year.

If John Fox called run plays 60% of the time this year with Peyton Manning, they'd probably win the superbowl.

Instead, I'm sure Manning throws it 60% of the time, because that's what happens when you get too smart for own good. I bet they don't win the superbowl, either.

thats what i just said. he will play on 3rd down, ( rushing the passer)...

hes is not big enough to play 43 de all the time. so he will be a backup at olb...

Irvin would almost certainly start out as a pass rushing specialist, and I would guess it would be from the outside linebacker position. Rushing the passer was about all he did in college. Hopefully, he's got enough smarts and ability to learn other aspects of playing outside linebacker, but with Morrison and Barnett manning the starting positions, he wouldn't have to step in as a full time player right away.

BTW, Draftboy, when are we going to get another mock draft out of you on BBDraft.com?

This is insanity. Pass rush is the best part of our team right now. We need LB's, #2 WR and OT's more than anything.

I just want the Bills to draft Blackmon, or Floyd, or Reif in that order

Without Tebow, opposing defenses will be able to key on McGahee or whoever else is at RB for the Broncos when they run. The Broncos run game will be nowhere as effective as it was last year.

Smoke and mirrors.

Supposedly, our pass rush is going to come from our front four, so a blitzing LBer is going to be pretty low on the priority list.
