I always liked him, and he seems to have played well on good defenses in Baltimore and New York (Jets).

But he never sticks anywhere, so you have to wonder if his small stature and lack of speed outweigh his intelligence and competitiveness.

Not really an upgrade and not really good depth for us either. With Byrd and Wilson entrenched as starters and Searcy a young up and comer and Scott as a savvy vet, we don't really need him.

I think Searcy is going to be a solid starter for us in the future. He's got the tools. Him and Byrd could be a nice duo some day.

As was stated above, he makes some plays on very good defenses but to me isnt any better of an option at this stage in his career than the guys we have.

He's an in the box safety and Scott is far better at it. Searcy should be cut for him ? Nope.

Were good at safety. We have Searcy and Scott. We dont need to go out and get more depth. We have 3 safetys and Scott. Scott would man Wilson in the box and Searcy would probably be free sinces hes more young and can probably cover deep better. Scott covers the TE. Get some more OTs for competition, more depth at LB and DL. Leonhard will want a bigger role

I don't see any upside to signing a guy like Leonard at this point. He's a little older, a little slower, and a little more injured. There's also ample depth at the Safety position right now.
