Have them cue this up to about the 55 second mark...
Yeah, that's when the Bills beat the Eagles last year.
Better yet, ask them where Bell was during that game... When they don't know, remind them that he was injured, like he was 8 other games last year.

We have cap space up the ying yang. If Bell was any good we could've paid him what he wanted. The fact we and few other teams didn't sign him is that he's asking for more than he's worth.

Is he a top-tier LT? Absolutely not, but he's the best player currently available at that position, and actually fits their blocking scheme well. He signed what is essentially a one year contract, if the latest reports are to be believed, so it's a limited risk to the Eagles (only guaranteed money is in year one). He won't be protecting Vick's blindside (as Vick is left handed), and Vick will likely help him earn a much larger, more guaranteed contract after this season. Bell is a decent, injury prone player.
Philadelphia, outside of Boston and Pittsburgh - is the most annoying sports city in the country.The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.Comment

- All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp.
