This game actually matters. Boston wants to win it, this would keep them ahead of New Jersey in round 2, and New Jersey really wants to win as well so they might be able to lay claim to be ahead of the Bruins should both teams win their first round matchups, for they re-seed teams. New Jersey is locked in to a matchup against either Florida or Washington, whoever wins the South and they will be favored. New Jersey also has a hand in who the Bruins will play in round 1, either Washington, Florida, or Ottawa.
