Hearing that people are floating Dave wannstedt's name out there as a possible replacement for petrino. Apparently Dave has a connect to the athletic director Jeff long. Heres to hoping there is no traction to this rumor.

I love Wanny as a DC, but it would be impossible to sell him as a HC to the boosters after what happened at Pitt, and with last year's Bills defense (which wasn't his fault, but he was on the staff).Last edited by Goobylal; 04-10-2012, 10:27 PM.Comment

I would have to believe that Wanny wants to be an NFL HC again. And the better way to make that happen is being a DC of a successful unit, rather than HC of a team in a tough conference and when you need at least 3 years to get your players in there.Comment

i would think taking a bad bills defense from worst to first and being part of the recruiting process for the talent, is better for wanny's resume than being anything short of a BCS champion.
he has to calculate his risks, but i would think the bills job has the best chance to show why he is so valuable.Comment
