    Lee Evans a Jag

One year deal according to Shefter:

    https://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/191573547880165376

Could this pull them out of the Blackmon or Floyd sweepstakes? Maybe not.

Receiver Lee Evans, a former No. 1 wideout in Buffalo who is at least for now best known for failing to make what would have been an AFC title-winning touchdown reception in January, will continue his career in Jacksonville.

It sure alllows them to think of another position at #10.

I do really believe one of the top WR's will be there at #10

He won't have to worry about dropping a pass in the championship game ever again.

Highly doubt that signing Lee Evans affects their draft plans in any way.

First, it's only a 1 year deal. Lee is over 30 and really hasn't shown much, especially last season. If anything, my guess is he was signed to help out the WR they draft, if they elect to take one.

I'd be surprised if this is much more than a league minimum deal, to be honest.

Yeah, a one-year deal with a 31-year-old has-been who missed half of last year and sucked the other half will get them to not draft a potential franchise WR.

                        THE DRAFT

                        IS NOT

                        JUST

                        FOR THIS YEAR

What an unfortunate circumstance with the "Sterling Strip". Evans is a consummate pro, and of course it came at the hands of the Patriots.

And , no, this doesn't alter Jax's draft strategy one iota.
