One year deal according to Shefter:

Could this pull them out of the Blackmon or Floyd sweepstakes? Maybe not.

It sure alllows them to think of another position at #10.

I do really believe one of the top WR's will be there at #10

He won't have to worry about dropping a pass in the championship game ever again.

Highly doubt that signing Lee Evans affects their draft plans in any way.

First, it's only a 1 year deal. Lee is over 30 and really hasn't shown much, especially last season. If anything, my guess is he was signed to help out the WR they draft, if they elect to take one.

I'd be surprised if this is much more than a league minimum deal, to be honest.

Yeah, a one-year deal with a 31-year-old has-been who missed half of last year and sucked the other half will get them to not draft a potential franchise WR.

"Michael Floyd?? Pfft! We have Lee Evans!"

What an unfortunate circumstance with the "Sterling Strip". Evans is a consummate pro, and of course it came at the hands of the Patriots.

Pauly P must have convinced him it's a great place to end your career

Glad he hooked up with somebody, hope he does well.

And , no, this doesn't alter Jax's draft strategy one iota.

Or he wants to reunite with Mularkey.

Can Gabbert throw 50 yard rainbows?

This may end up being Evans last year on an NFL roster.

Decent spot for him, I think. Lots of one on one coverageand teams always playing 7-8 in the box to stop Jones-Drew, he not catch many passes but he can put up something like 36-40 catches with a 17 yards a catch average.

When has Lee Evans ever blamed his QB?

He probably was done here as injuries seem to be hitting him with age...but he was one of the nicest Bills I ever met. A true class act.

I never wish him anything but the best. I wish more players conducted themselves like this guy.

A great QB in the name of T. Edwards? :idunno:

Exactly. Makes me wish that drop had happened to a guy like McGahee or something.

JAX purchased a "backfill" vet for their roster - what makes you think it affects their draft plans?

CIN purchased two 30 year-old FA guards - but might grab rookie DeCastro if he falls to #17.

As a 3rd WR in an offense that is centered around MJD? Not likely he has much of an impact.

If the Jags draft a WR high, he ends up being the 4th wide.

What kind of production do you really think he's gonna have?

BUF should have struck a deal for Evans with CIN during the Carson Palmer heyday. It was a topic here that surfaced with regularity.

Yeah, it sure made them reconsider their pick! Made them move up for a WR!
