If the Bills primetime game is the game in Toronto?

I think I saw a Buffalo News tweet earlier in reference to this.

We are 1-3 in Toronto and we suck on national TV.

It sucks for the city to lose the national exposure, but at the same time it'll be good to get two scenarios where the odds are against us out of the way in one loss.

I will be fine with it. I don't want it to be in Buffalo.

Toronto or a road game

I would hate it, but it wouldn't surprise me. It was reported a little while back that one of the reasons the Bills don't get consideration for home prime time games now is the lack of infrastructure for newer broadcasting technology and what not or something like that. Improvements in this area is supposed to be part of the proposed stadium renovations though.

I think the Bills will get a couple prime time games, but both will probably be on the road.

Correlation and causality!

Really they have sucked everywhere lately - Toronto and national TV have nothing to do with it.

Ugh. More disgusted than anything. Watching NFL Toronto games is about as fun as watching tennis or golf. No way the Rogers atmosphere comes close to the Ralph.

Less that the rest of the nation that will be treated to a 6 -10 team performance.

A home game would be awesome, but we all know that it won't happen. It will be in Toronto or, more likely, on the road against a super-good team (NE, SF, etc.)

yeah but it's been at least 10 years since they've won a night game (including 2 unbelievable epic choke jobs) and they have a .250 winning percentage in Toronto.

As bad as they've been overall lately, their performance in Toronto and in night games is significantly worse.

Of course, I have no way to prove it objectively, but I think that giving up a home game to an unsupportive crowd in Toronto and playing on national TV take a mental toll on the players that they haven't been able to overcome.

this is the last year of it, and it's been largely unsuccessful in terms of Rogers making money. I doubt Rogers renews unless Ralph gives him a huge discount, and Mario Williams notwithstanding, we know the old man does not part with money easily.

wouldn't bother me terribly... game would be on TV in Buffalo no matter what (on Channel 7)

I don't think it will happen though. I think TNF will be Bills at Texans and the Bills will have a MNF game at San Francisco.

Oh by the way... if you live in Rochester or Syracuse or Utica or any other place that has Time Warner and you don't have a dish you'll have to go to the bar to watch the TNF game.

Buffalo, as the Bills Primary Market, get to simulcast the game over the air on WKBW. The Secondary Markets do not get that privilege.

Any given Sunday or Monday or Thursday. If you think this years Bills team will be the same as last years, you will be proven wrong.

I'm more worried about playing a divisional opponent in Toronto than when we play, last thing we need to do is lower our odds of victory against a D.O.

Well, it's not, so I guess it's a moot point. I don't get the NFL network, so for me it means the possibility of seeing the game in person versus not seeing it at all. There is a chance I can go to a Thursday night game at the Ralph. It means getting home at 2 or 3 in the morning, but I could sleep in. If the game had been set for Tooronto, I'd be shut out, and have to listen on radio.

If Fitzy, Stevie, or Fred end up injured you can be bet we won't have a winning season.

It's the same for the poor fools who are made to give up a home game to play in London.

Good gawd - CIN has 3 prime time games. They are eerily like BUF, falling on their face in the national spotlight. This reminds me of the 10 and 6 '07 Browns, who became a prime time darling the following season, and tumbled to 4 - 12.
