Pretty simple which one do you want at 10.

Let's just assume we are taking a CB for arguments sake.

I picked Gilmore, and Im very surprised that Gilmore is leading 5-3 right now....
I like both guys and this is actually what I want to be drafted day 1.

Kirkpatrick.

I don't understand why Gilmore has shot up the boards so high. Only game I really focused on him he wasn't very impressive (vs. Nebraska.) I remember seeing him miss a tackle badly in the backfield that should have been a 7 yard loss but turned into a 15 yard gain that game.

The guy was rated around 40-50 overall when the season ended, now we're talking about him at 10?

I thought picking the 16th-rated player at 10 was "too much of a reach," now Gilmore is somehow a top-10 pick?

I think Kirkpatrick has just been good for too long... people are getting bored of him.

Am I the only person who remembers the chatter about Kyle Wilson a couple years ago?

I voted Gilmore for no other reaosn then to be different and go against the grain. Both would be awesome pickups...

I like both of them, But i personally feel like DK is the safer pick, and the more ready of the two.

I picked Kirkpatrick because every time I watched Alabama play he just seemed to really stick out and always impressed me. I really didn't watch any South Carolina games so I can't comment on Gilmore. Maybe he's the better player, but I've always really liked Kirkpatrick.

I'd be excited either way though, and I trust Nix' judgement better than anyone elses.

Kirkpatrick has better skills IMO but if i were an NFL team i might take Gilmore. Jenkins has a fairly high chance of being another pacman.

Gilmore because he's faster and can be taught not to trust his athleticism vs double moves like at SC.

Gilmore is faster and has a higher ceiling. Far more athletic.

Far more athletic.

You have me there... Far more athletic?

How so?

NOT THE DUDE...

i think gilmore has better hips with his 3 cone. maybe a half a step faster...

i think kirk has better natural corner skills and swagger. hes just so damn confident and tough...

kirkpatrick is one of the hardest hitters ive seen since winfield. ill take a saban db any day of the week and twice on sunday, but thats just me...

Gilmore

3 year starter in the SEC is impressive, clean off the field, all the physical attributes of a shut down CB, IMO a higher ceiling, and supports the run

I picked Gilmore....Kirkpatrick gets a lot of love and I know INT's aren't everything but Kirkpatrick had 3 INT's in his whole career at Alabama playing with arguably some of the best defenses in college football history. Gilmore had 8 INT's in his career playing in the same conference and for a good but not great defense. Gilmore also is comparable in size its not like Kirkpatrick is 6'2 and Gilmore is 5'8 they are both an inch apart and Gilmore is slightly faster and more athletic than Kirkpatrick

Only one quibble with this...

South Carolina had the best defensive line in college football last year. they also played with basically an extra LB in Antonio Allen that helped pressure the QB. They were a terrific defense.

Gilmore has a higher ceiling to be 'lock-down' and a playmaker, IMO, so I voted for him but if Buddy thinks Dre' is the better pick I wouldn't be upset at all.

DK more ready right now,Gilmore plays like a linebacker with corner speed.

I definitely did not get this impression watching him.
