He said that last year too.

I'm pulling for Merriman. People give him lots of crap, but IMO he has worked hard and tried to be on the field, and his recruiting off the field etc screams the guy is true Blue.

Here's hoping this is the year he does play all 16

He doesn't want to get cut, so of course he's going to say it. That doesn't make it true.

Let's see it on the field.

I don't think anyone isn't pulling for him, but the same story every year gets old.

talk is cheap

I think this year he actually may stay on the field, being that they went in and fixed the problem, as opposed to just rehabbing it and hoping for the best. I think everyone wants him to be dependable, but until we see it happen, its just talk.

well while he was playing the D was much better

so if he can stay healthy it would be a good surprise

Maybe being able to participate in a part-time basis will be good for him with Anderson rotating with him.

Or do you think they will use him at SAM?

If either Merriman or Easley came through this year it's a nice bonus.

If either Merriman or Easley came through this year it's a nice bonus.

That's pretty much my thought. I'm not upset that the Bills picked Merriman up off waivers, nor am I mad that they signed him to a contract. It was a classic low risk/high reward deal.

Hopefully, it works out this year... But, they certainly shouldn't be counting on it to work out... With Merriman or Easley.

If he is healthy and productive the Bills defense will be very exciting to watch unless you are an opposing team offensive coordinator and QB.

As Merriman sees it, no longer is it a question of if he’ll be 100 percent healthy, but when. At the same time he’s not assigning a timetable for his return to full form.

“Absolutely I’m going to be 100 percent,” he said. “The amount of hours in rehab to be the player my team needs me to be is going to be recognized soon. People will see it where they won’t have to keep asking me. Those are questions that hopefully I’m not asked very much this season. My body is not going to change much from Monday to Thursday. You’ll know when I’m back to 100 percent.”

Whatever he says will not keep him from getting cut. He will need to prove it on the field. I believe him when he says he is feeling better. Lets just hope it translates on the field.

Does that mean he's ready to have 4 sacks in a preseason game????

He doesn't want to get cut, so of course he's going to say it. That doesn't make it true. You can't cut an injured player, so this is nonsense.

Merriman and Easley are the Perry Tuttle and Booker Moore of this decade.

Well, except Merriman was an elite player before his injuries, & Easley showed promise of that.

I'm hoping that the Bills aggressiveness in FA gave Merriman a spark because if he's healthy, he's productive.

The CBA says so. That's why they have 'injury settlements'.

Of being elite? LOL

It's been awhile since we had a PB WR, hasn't it?

He fixed his leg, and then broke his arm. The leg is the issue. If his leg never got messed up, he wouldnt of faltered. So imo, the leg seemingly has been good for over a year now, so i like his chances.

Or QB for that matter.
