All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The idea for getting rid of the Pro Bowl entirely has picked up steam in recent years, and Chris Mortensen reported on ESPN Radio this morning that there’s talk of suspending the Pro Bowl as soon as this year: There might not be a Pro Bowl at all at the end of this season.
Just have a banquet in Miami or somewhere warm for 3 days for the guys who actually got voted in, rather than watching a game with the 5th alternate playing a skill position and trying not to get hurt.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit
Who cares about the pro bowl? It is so terrible. Just have an awards ceremony/skills tourny or something. Put them on TV but the game isnt even a game, its dumb and should be ended.
Yeah I think making the Pro Bowl roster is the real honor, and they should leave it at that. Nobody remembers what a player actually did in the Pro Bowl game itself, unless he gets hurt or can't make it because he's in the Super Bowl.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
